ANSI/ESD SP15.1-2011 In-Use Resistance Testing of Gloves and Finger Cots

This standard practice¹ is intended to provide test procedures for measuring the intrinsic electrical resistance of gloves and finger cots; as well as the electrical resistance of gloves or finger cots and personnel together as a system. This standard practice applies to all gloves and finger cots used to control Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). This standard practice provides data that are relevant in the user’s specific environment and application.

ANSI/ESD S20.20-2014 Protection of Electrical and Electronic Parts, Assemblies and Equipment

This standard covers the requirements necessary to design, establish, implement and maintain an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Control Program for activities that manufacture, process, assemble, install, package, label, service, test, inspect or otherwise handle electrical or electronic parts, assemblies and equipment susceptible to damage by electrostatic discharges greater than or equal to 100 volts Human Body Model (HBM) and 200 volts Charged Device Model (CDM). The CDM voltage level as used in this document is based on managing process essential insulators to mitigate field induced voltages on devices that could lead to damage.

ANSI/ESD S1.1-2006 Wrist Straps

This standard has been developed to establish test methods for evaluating the electrical and mechanical attributes of wrist straps used in an electrostatic control program. Wrist straps are intended to connect the user to electrical ground, thus preventing electrostatic charge on a user’s body from attaining a level that may damage ESD susceptible devices or assemblies. Test methods and performance limits for Evaluation, Acceptance, and Functional testing are provided. Application and construction guidance is included in the Appendices. This document is reformatted from EOS/ESD S1-1987 using improved test methods.

Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments Part 1: Classification of air cleanliness by particle concentration

This document specifies the air cleanliness classification for cleanrooms and clean zones divided by the concentration of suspended particles in the air, as well as for the isolation devices described in GB/T 25915.7. This document is applicable to the monitoring of the cumulative counting distribution of particulate matter with a lower limit of particle size ranging from 0.1μm to 5μm and its particle concentration. The concentration of ultrafine particles (<0.1μm) will be specified in the air cleanliness standard for nano-sized particles. At the designated sampling point, it is specified to use a light scattering (discrete) airborne particle counter (LSAPC) to determine the particle concentration of large particles (>5μm), which is quantified by the M descriptor. This document does not apply to characterizing the physical, chemical, radioactive, biological activity or other properties of airborne suspended particles.

ANSI/ESD S6.1-2005 For the Protection of Electrostatic Discharge Susceptible Items Grounding

The single most important concept in the field of static control is grounding. Attaching all electrically conductive and dissipative items in the workplace to ground allows built-up electrostatic charges to equalize with ground potential. A grounded conductor cannot hold a static charge.
